How to pay the Rajasthan Traffic Police Challan online?
You can pay your Rajasthan Traffic Police challan by visiting your nearest RTO; alternatively, it can also be paid online, for which instructions are provided below.
- First, visit the e-challan portal at https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in/.
- Right on the homepage, you will see an option labelled “Get Challan Details”; click on it to proceed to the next page.
- Now, enter your Challan Number, Vehicle Number, or Driving Licence Number, and after filling in the CAPTCHA, click on the “Get Details” button.
- Now, a list of all your pending challan will appear before you; click on the “Pay Now” button visible next to the specific challan you wish to pay.
- Lastly, various payment methods will become available to complete the transaction; it is recommended that you select UPI to finalise the payment.
Don’t make challan payments through any third-party portal. In addition to the e-Challan portal, you can also pay pending challans using the ‘mParivahan’ mobile application, which can be downloaded from the Play Store (for Android devices) or the App Store (for iOS devices).
What if Rajasthan Traffic Police Challans are ignored?
It is essential to pay traffic fines on time, as delays incur penalties; furthermore, excessive delays may even result in a court summons regarding the payment. If a fine remains pending for an extended period, your driving licence could be suspended, and you may face difficulties during its renewal.
Keeping a fine pending for a prolonged duration could lead to issues related to your vehicle’s registration certificate. Additionally, if you decide to resell the vehicle, you will encounter complications due to the pending fine.
If you are caught committing a traffic violation while already having multiple big fines, your vehicle may be impounded and will not be released until you have cleared all your pending dues.
Most importantly, if you have a pending traffic fine, you will not be able to renew your PUC (Pollution Under Control) certificate, and if you fail to renew it yet are subsequently caught driving, you will face an even heavier penalty.
