In 2026, the traffic fine rates in Andhra Pradesh are the same as in the rest of the country. The fines imposed for traffic rule violations are equivalent to those in other states. These fine rates are governed by the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019, which we have discussed below, and relevant details too.

The fines imposed for traffic violations differ slightly between private and commercial vehicles. A violation of the rules incurs a fine the first time around; however, upon a second offence, one faces not only a fine but also additional consequences. Where to pay traffic fines in Andhra Pradesh in 2026?

To pay traffic fines in AP, you have two options: first, you can do so offline; and second, you can do so online. We have discussed both of these procedures in detail below.

  • Offline: In Andhra Pradesh, you can pay fines for traffic violations by visiting your nearest RTO (Regional Transport Office) or a traffic police station.
  • Online: To pay traffic fines online in Andhra Pradesh, you have three options: the first is the Challan Portal, the second is the ‘mParivahan’ mobile application, and the third is the ‘AP e-Challan’ portal.

How to pay traffic fines online in Andhra Pradesh in 2026?

We have shared the instructions below for paying traffic fines online in Andhra Pradesh. You can view the step-by-step guide for all three methods below.

e-Challan Portal:

  • Visit the e-challan portal.
  • Click on the “Pay Online” button.
  • Enter your vehicle number.
  • Fill in the captcha displayed on the webpage.
  • Click on the “Get Details” button.
  • Select the payment option, make the traffic challan payment.

mParivahan mobile application:

  • Download the ‘mParivahan’ application for your Android device from the Play Store, or if you have an iOS, get it from the App Store.
  • Register by providing your mobile number, email address, and name.
  • After completing the registration process, log in using your mobile number and password.
  • Now, click on the ‘Challan Payment’option.
  • Lastly, enter your vehicle number, driving licence number, or challan number and make the payment.

AP e-Challan portal:

  • Go to the AP e-challan portal.
  • Enter your vehicle registration number and the CAPTCHA, as shown on the web page.
  • Click the Show Details button.
  • The pending challan list will be before you tap on the respective one make payment.
