Via e-challan portal:

  • First, visit the official e-challan website at https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in/.
  • Right on the homepage, you will find an option related to e-challan details; click on it to proceed to the next page.
  • Select the option for Challan Number, Vehicle Number, or DL Number; fill in the relevant details; and then, after entering the captcha displayed on the website, click the “Get Details” button.

Via Delhi Traffic Police website:

  • Visit the official website of the Delhi Traffic Police at https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/.

After following the instructions using either of the two methods, a list of all your pending challans, including those issued by the Delhi Traffic Police, will become visible to you.

How to pay a traffic violation fine (challan) in Delhi?

If the Delhi Traffic Police issues a challan for your vehicle related to traffic rules, you can pay it both offline and online. To make an offline payment, you will have to visit your RTO, or, when the Lok Adalat is in session, you can clear all your pending challans with a good discount.

There are several regulations regarding the online payment of traffic challans; the easiest method is to pay through the e-Challan portal. To do so:

  • You must follow the instructions for checking challans that we outlined above; subsequently, you will see a “Pay Now” button displayed next to any pending challans.
  • Simply click on this button, and you can then proceed to pay your challan using UPI, a debit card, a credit card, or Net Banking.

Payments for pending traffic fines can also be made using the ‘mParivahan’ mobile application. You can download it from the Play Store for your Android device or from the App Store for your iOS device.

The payment process here is also very simple; you simply need to log in and enter your vehicle number, after which you will be able to clear your pending challan using any of the available payment methods.
